LEGAL TESTING
VS NON-LEGAL TESTING

Our fully accredited laboratory follows the same high quality standards when processing both Non-legal and legal (courtadmissible) tests. The difference between a legal and non-legal test is in the collection process. Legal tests require that a disinterested third party follow the rigorous collection standards developed by the AABB. Legal DNA tests provide peace of mind knowing the collection process was completed bya trained professional and that chain of custody was maintained throughout the entire collection and testing.

1) How is a DNA collection performed?

A DNA collection is quick and painless. A sterile swab is gently rubbed on the inside of
your cheek for 20-30 seconds.

2) What if one of the individuals being tested lives in a different city?

We have collection sites throughout the United States.

3) What if the alleged father is not available for testing?

In situations where the alleged father is not available, paternity can be established by testing grandparents, aunts, uncles, or siblings.

4) What if I don't want the father to know?

We can test almost anything for DNA, toothbrushes, gum, cigarette butts, Q-Tips.
